Thomas P. Dompier, PhD, ATC
Dr. Dompier began his career as a clinical athletic trainer. Following a brief stint working in college hockey, Dr. Dompier completed his doctoral training under leading sports injury epidemiologist, Dr. John Powell, at Michigan State University and has since distinguished himself as an injury epidemiologist in his own right. Prior to taking on his role as President, Dr. Dompier served as a consultant for the Datalys Center and was also the Director of the Graduate Athletic Training Education Program at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Dompier has numerous publications and presentations in the area of injury epidemiology. As President, he oversees the successful execution of ongoing programs and the daily operations of the Datalys Center.
Dr. Dompier maintains honorary adjunct faculty appointments in the Division of Athletic Training at Ohio University and in the Department of Physical Education & Athletic Training at the University of South Carolina.
